🔥 Who's Recruiting
LWTech's fair page counts 27 confirmed employers, with more to come, and the mix is the most useful thing about this event. It leans hard toward work that does not need a four-year degree.
- Health care: UW Medicine, EvergreenHealth, HealthPoint, Allegro Pediatrics, SOUND Behavioral Health and The Watermark at Bellevue.
- Public sector and transit: King County Metro Transit, the Port of Seattle and the Washington State Department of Social & Health Services.
- Manufacturing and aerospace: IDD Aerospace, Mitutoyo, University Swaging, Allegion and N C Machinery.
- Service, property and community: AAA Washington, Ace Parking, Essex Property Trust, Insite Property Solutions, Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel, Solid Ground, the YMCA of Greater Seattle and TransWest.
- Engineering and construction: Hazen and Sawyer and AA Asphalting.
Staffing firms Express Employment Professionals and Spherion round out the list. The page does not say which openings each employer is bringing, so treat it as who will be in the room, not a promise of a particular job.
Why This One Is Worth the Drive
Plenty of college career fairs are limited to enrolled students. This one is not: LWTech invites students, graduates, veterans, job seekers and community members alike. Admission is free and so is parking, which on the Eastside is not nothing.
The campus sits just east of I-405 near Totem Lake, an easy run from Bothell, Redmond, Woodinville and Bellevue, and a 405 commute from Seattle, traffic willing.
The fair covers internships as well as jobs, a useful bonus if you are finishing a health, machining or business certificate anywhere in the region.
📋 How to Show Up Ready
- Register ahead on LWTech's form. It is optional, but it puts your name in front of the career office.
- Print ten copies of a one-page resume. Recruiters from shop floors and hospitals still like paper.
- Pull up the careers pages for your top three employers the night before and know one opening at each by name.
- Bring copies of any certificates or licenses you hold: CDL, forklift, BLS, CNA, MA-C, welding.
- Arrive near 10:00. A three-hour fair thins out fast after the first rush.
🔎 Where to Aim on the Eastside
