The Sound Jobs Hospitality Career Fair lands at WorkSource North Seattle on September 30, and unlike the big everything-under-one-roof fairs, every table in the room belongs to a hotel, restaurant, grocery or events employer that is hiring now.

Free, walk-ins welcome and hospitality only: up to 30 employers recruit at North Seattle College on Wednesday, September 30, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., with interviews on the spot.

🔥 A Career Fair Built for One Industry

Sound Jobs is run by the Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County, funded through a U.S. Department of Labor job quality grant. The idea is simple: keep the room to one sector so nobody wastes a conversation. A line cook is not standing in a queue for a software booth, and a hotel recruiter is not sorting through resumes for jobs they do not have.

The model has a track record. The council reports that its July 2025 fair drew 217 job seekers and 15 employers, and the February 2026 edition at South Seattle College brought 17 employers. This time the organizer has opened the floor to as many as 30, first come, first served.

💼 The Jobs Behind the Tables

The council describes the employers as hotels, restaurants and grocery stores, with openings across guest services, housekeeping, facilities, front desk, administration, tourism and events. That covers the entry-level shifts you can start next week as well as the supervisor and office roles that keep a property running.

No employer roster or pay figures were published ahead of the fair, so we are not going to guess at them. Assume the room is a mix of downtown and neighborhood operators, and come ready to talk about whichever side of the house you know best. Pre-register if you can. The job seeker form takes a minute, though walk-ins are welcome.

Know your availability. Hospitality hiring moves on schedules. Be ready to say which days, nights and weekends you can work.
